Doctor of Veterinary Medicine
Dr. Abigail Smith grew up in Jackson County on a beef farm and found her love for veterinary medicine after watching her father and grandfather tend cattle. She graduated from Ripley High School in 2000. She completed her undergraduate studies at Marshall University where she received a B.S. in chemistry and biology. She attended veterinary school at Tuskegee University where she earned her DVM in 2008. After practicing a year in Denham Springs, Louisiana, she and her family moved back to West Virginia where she began practicing medicine at Ripley Paws Veterinary Clinic.
Dr. Smith enjoys reading, hiking and spending time with family.
